Cutting and sewing keishins pattern

I have keishins pattern my group are using the same fabric so we are helping each other cut out patterns. i started with the top front of the dress, as thats the most detailed part of the dress.

And after
The finished detail of the dress.

Half of the front part of the first toile, while making the toile the pattern became quite difficult to understand while sewing so decided to go with a more simpler way, i removed the sleeves and made the side seams just a straight aline dress.

pattern cutting class

Earlier on In this class we were all shown a new way of pattern cutting by Caryl, by using a mannequin pattern paper a lot of tape.
A very interesting and new way of learning how to create the perfect pattern.

The pattern has already been formed with the darts on the waist and bust.
Cutting the shape to make up the draft for then actual pattern

Working on the pattern

The pattern to the finale design front including, the front zig zag detail and sleeves.
a long but productive day of patterns.

The main draft for the pattern.
This pattern was very simple to draw up did not take very long at all, was quite exciting to get into the practical side of things in the module.
